July 2nd 2011 We woke up at 5:00 A.M. and head out on our adventure. We made it as far as 300 S. in Logan before we had to turn back around and grab two things we forgot at home. Craig's wedding ring and my earrings. We were off again. :)
It was about a 12 hour drive for us which was surprising because it is supposed to be 13 hours. Jazlynne was actually really great for the car ride and only fuss for a minute a couple times. I did have to sit in the back with her though just to keep her happy.
The first three nights we stayed with Michael and Tara (Craig's sister) and the last two nights we stayed with Jon and Andrea (Craig's other sister). The first day was a Sunday so we just decided to go to the Natural History Museum in L.A. It really cool and we had a great time there. After that Andrea and Jon invited us to their home for dinner, and then we went back to Tara's for the night.
Day two of our vacation was the 4th of July. We spent it mostly just relaxing and with Craig's sisters. We had a little cookout.. inside due to the rain. We tried going to the Fireworks that night but Jazlynne wasn't having any of it. She was too tired and too hungry!
Jazlynne was too tired before the fireworks even started so we went back to Tara's house and Jazlynne fell asleep on the drive. So we stood in the road and watched them from there.
Day Three was a fun day at Universal Studios Hollywood!
Tara helped watch Jazlynne for the morning and Andrea picked her up for the afternoon. Thank you Tara and Andrea for your help with watching Jazlynne so we were able to go to Universal Studios. We had such a fun day!

The first thing we did was a little walk through Haunted House which was not that scary. After that we decided we should hurry and eat some lunch so we could have a fun filled day! So we picked a little 50's Diner.
After lunch we went down to some rides! We went on the Jurassic Park ride a ton of time and went on the Mummy ride. The mummy ride was alright but we waited in line forever and it only lasted a minute or two. The Jurassic Park ride we got soaked! It was so much fun though!
We went on the Studio Tour which was SO MUCH FUN! I am in this Desperate Housewives kick right now so it was the coolest thing ever to see their houses! Here are some photos from the tour.

We had a really fun day at Universal Studios. We ate dinner at the Hard Rock and headed back to Andrea's house.
The last day we had in California was spent at the beautiful Ocean. We went to Santa Monica Pier with Jon and Andrea. It was so much fun, and for me, that was my favorite part of the vacation. I can't believe I had the chance to swim in the ocean! (Warning: Do not swallow or inhale ocean water, it does not taste like Bear Lake water!)

After spending some time on the beach we decided it would be fun to go walk on the Santa Monica Pier.
We rode the Carousel and went to a mini aquarium on the boardwalk.
Our vacation was so much fun! It was exactly what we needed after such a long winter with Jazlynne being stuck inside for so long. We had a blast and are looking forward to when we can go back to California again. California is a beautiful, fun, sunshine filled place! Here are a few photos I took just of California.

After such a fun vacation we finally decided it was time to head home.
Thank you Andrea, Jon, Tara, and Michael for letting us stay at your homes and everything you did to help us out on our vacation. We had the greatest time ever! Thanks Dad and Valerie for spending your day off hanging out with us! We love you all! <3
